Wir freuen uns, im Rahmen der Messe die eine oder andere cineastische Perle präsentieren zu können. Alle Filme bewegen sich im Genre von Urban Art und werden in der jeweiligen Original Sprache gezeigt. Der Eintritt zu STROKE.02 MOVIES ist frei.

UPPER PLAYGROUND – The Run Up
The Run Up is a follow up to the 2004 release of Dithers, the DVD is composed of one-on-one interviews with twenty-six of the most eminent artists of today. Artists featured on The Run Up include: Herbert Baglione, Estevan Oriol, Cody Hudson, Chris Pastras, Mark Bode, Mr. Jago, Will Barras, Wes Humpston, Futura, Jeff Soto, Above, Kofie One, Heavyweight (HVW8), David Ellis, Ryan McGinness, José Parla, Swoon, Rostarr, Mister Cartoon, Maya Hayuk, Doze Green, WK Interact, Dzine, Jason Bass, Ron English, and Logan Hicks.

BOMB IT – The explosive new international graffiti documentary
Is the explosive new documentary from award-winning director Jon Reiss investigating the most subversive and controversial art form currently shaping international youth culture: graffiti. Featuring Mear One, T-Kid, Cornbread, Zephyre, Pose2, Dj Ladytribe, Ron English, Cope2, Os Gemeos, Faith 47, Sixe, Daim and more.

AGENTS OF CHANGE – The Ghostvillage Project
The Ghostvillage Project was created over 3 days on the west coast of Scotland. 6 artists – Timid, Remi/Rough, System, Stormie Mills, Juice 126, Derm – were given free reign to paint in an abandoned 1970s village. Working together on huge collaborative walls and individually in hidden nooks and crannies all over the site the artists realised long held dreams and were inspired by the bleakness and remoteness of the site. Drawing on the history of the village the artists’ stated intent on completion of the project was to populate the ghostvillage with the art and characters that it deserved.

MAKING OFF – WALLUME

On a constant quest for exhibition space artacks – a roaming art project- found a true jewel in the Swiss capital city of Berne. A huge disused supermarket based over two floors with empty walls galore. The perfect place for a project named «wallume I». More than twenty individual artists and crews from all over Switzerland – Schwarzmaler, Blackyard, S-Y-L-G and Foederation to name a few, were invited along and given total artistic freedom over a six day period in December to use the space as they liked, the only condition being that all artwork must be created in black and white. After this process, everything was painted back to white again – and here begins «making off»…
